Leaders of many nations are often photographed with their dogs. This was even true of the founder of the Turkish Republic, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. His love of dogs was well known.

The first historical reference to dog grooming was in 19th century in France, under the reigns of Louis XV and Louis XVI since then, grooming has grown into a fully re-cognized profession in all parts of Europe and the United States.

Dog grooming is both art and skill, trade and profession. It is a profession dedicated to the beautification of dogs.
